The dance floor was packed from the first dance until the last song. Dave, the band leader was very personable and the comminicated with the bride’s partents and the bride and groom to ensure the entire evening went well. Their website has a huge selection of songs to choose from and they play all expertly! Nadine, the lead singer spent time with the bridal party to make sure everyone was introduced correctly and names were not mispronounced. The band was PERFECT for Crooked Lake with a large dance floor and stage area for the band. They could not have been more pleasant, professional and talented group to work with. THANKS HIGH DEFINITION! for a wonderful time!!!! Wedding: 05/25/2013 High Definition are amazing!! They made our wedding truly special and kept the dance floor full all night. On top of being tons of fun, they also were easy to work with and open to all of our requests. The band learned a Bruce Springsteen song that I had specially requested and also played other favorites. The lead singer sang “When Irish Eyes are Smiling” and sounds like an Irish tenor, and an hour later, they led us all in song to “Sweet Caroline” and other great dance songs. Dave was great to work with and the rest of the band were great as well. Jackie A, Saratoga Springs, NY May 1, 2010 Dear High Definition, “I will be completely honest. First off, my husband was adamant about having a band rather than a D.J. at our reception. When we started to research bands in our area, the rates were much higher than we could afford. Somehow, we came across a pamphlet for High Definition. When I called Dave to get the rates, I was in shock and immediately skeptical. High Definition was head and shoulders less expensive than the other bands. Dave addressed these concerns and assured me that they were not in this business for the money, they just love what they do. To further prove to my husband and I, Dave invited us (with the permission of the couple) to watch them in action at a wedding. We were shocked, the band was awesome!! We booked High Definition very soon after to play during our cocktail hour and the entire reception. Dave met with us numerous times to plan for our big day. This was extremely comforting to my husband and I (in retrospect b/c during planning you are so busy) because on our wedding day, it was like we had known Dave forever, everything felt perfect!! The band even learned 3 songs for us!! Beyond accommodating! Honestly, there are not enough praises to give this group! All of our wedding guests were shocked!! Dave also played at our ceremony in Bolton Landing and it was just beautiful! He definitely went out of his way to make the ceremony very special for us and our families. The wedding reception was unbelievable. Before dinner my husband and I danced a routine to “I Get a Kick out of You” which the band had learned for us. It was flawless. After dinner the music continued and we were all dancing the entire night, one song kept being played right after another. At one point I had to stop and wonder if they were going to take any breaks! All night and in the days that followed, many of our guests inquired about the band. They thought they were amazing and must have cost an arm and a leg. Letizia and the Z Band is the quintessential band for any type of wedding reception. They have been based out of Syracuse for 18 years, but, play private functions all over the Northeast. From the standards of the 40’s, to the rock and roll of the 50’s, to Motown, to the disco 70’s, to the techno 90’s, and today, there is music for all tastes and ages. After all, we understand that a wedding reception is a celebration for everyone in attendance, and we make sure everyone is able to participate in that celebration. Our goal is to make your reception an unforgettable, lasting experience for you and your guests. If you are looking for HORNS, Letizia and the Z Band has an “in house” horn section. Letizia plays trumpet, and Mark, our guitar player, plays alto and tenor saxophone. Because we understand how important the music is at your reception, Letizia will sit down with you before your special day, and customize the music to your individual tastes. On the day of your reception, Letizia will line up the Grand Parents, Parents, and all of the wedding party, and will announce your wedding party as they enter the reception room. Letizia will also make sure that the whole reception runs as smoothly as possible, coordinating events with the room, so that you don’t have to. Letizia and the Z Band will provide recorded music on CD while on breaks so that the music never stops. The music can be on your mp3 player, or, on CD that either you or the band provides. We will continue CD music after the completion of the Band’s performance for as long as the room will allow. We will gladly take requests from our repertoire prior to the reception, or, you can leave the music choices completely up to us. We will also try to accommodate as many of your guest’s requests during the performance. We are happy to learn your FIRST DANCE, FATHER/DAUGHTER DANCE, and MOTHER/GROOM DANCE. We just ask that a copy of each song be given to us at least TWO months in advance. Letizia and the Z Band will provide state-of-the-art, professional sound and lighting to ensure clear sound at an acceptable volume. Once all the details are taken care of, you can sit back, and enjoy your celebration, because Letizia and the Z Band will take care of everything else, from the announcement of the wedding party to the last song played! But that’s where it ends, where it begins is at your wedding ceremony. Letizia is available to perform as a soloist accompanying herself on the piano, at either your ceremony, cocktail reception, or both for an additional fee Letizia and the Z Band can take care of all your musical needs on one of the most special days of your lives. Letizia is a one of a kind talent. She has been singing and performing her entire life. From her childhood days in church in Chatham, Ontario Canada, to performing as a solo/piano vocalist at all major venues in Toronto and across Ontario, the United States and Europe. She fronted a Toronto based pop 40 band that toured Canada and the U.S. She has performed National Anthems across Canada and for many NFL, NBA, and MLB teams in the U.S. Letizia has performed studio vocals on prominent national radio and television ads. She is also an original artist, with a Sammy award winning CD, “Let it Go” which was released in 2001. Letizia will be releasing a collection of her favorite ballads/show tunes this summer. No one enjoys performing for an audience more than Letizia, which is why she and her band have been so successful since the bands inception 12 years ago. They won “Best Band” and Letizia “Best Vocalist” as voted on by fans across the Syracuse & Central New York area last year. The energy that is on stage is infectious, and the crowds respond at every performance. As well as being the lead singer, Letizia plays trumpet, guitar, piano, and percussion.
