After spending years playing in piano bars near his home in Long Island New York, as well as bands and shows in New York City, Europe, and the Caribbean, Henry Haid’s audition for the Broadway musical “Movin’ Out”, choreographed by Twyla Tharp, came as no surprise. Having been hand picked by Ms. Tharp to perform the lead, his entire focus and dedication for over two years was given to Billy Joel’s and Twyla Tharp’s musical production of “Movin Out”. His performance as the “Piano Man” Billy Joel, at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York City, produced rave reviews… New York Theater proclaimed, “Pianist/lead vocalist Henry Haid’s electric voice rang out passionately and impressively…” And Patrickweb reported, “The playing and singing by Henry Haid was outstanding…” Shaun A. Acoustic Remedy is a male/female duo that play Rock n’ Blues! With 2 guitarists & 2 vocalists, we offer a full band sound to our Acoustic Rock and Blues covers! We offer a unique, acoustic wedding package to add some style and live music to an already great celebration. This includes sound equipment, 3 hours of live music and 1 hour of MP3 music for those special songs or dance songs that we don’t cover. Shawnie & Greg share many of the same influences such as: Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Warren Haynes, Bonnie Raiit, Joe Bonamassa, and The Allman Brothers among others! SHAWNIE BROWN is a rock/blues guitarist & songwriter from Corning, NY. Shawnie enjoys playing electric, acoustic, slide guitar & bass guitar. Shawnie started playing guitar when she was 16. Shawnie has played in several bands in the Elmira/Corning area & San Antonio, TX. She started Acoustic Remedy in 2012 as a solo act and later added Greg for a fuller sound. She also plays for her church. GREG PODOLIAK is a fingerstyle and blues guitarist from Elmira, NY. His playing style evokes textures of Leo Kottke, Michael Hedges, and Stefan Grossman with a myriad of underlying influences from baroque, traditional “American” melodies, Afro-American, Irish and even classical Indian music. Greg has been teaching since 1993 to some of the most talented upstate NY performers. He released his first solo full-length album in 2010, “Journeys & Travails.” Greg enjoys starting beginners on their musical journey and has developed a personalized curriculum for intermediate and advancing players called “Above and Between the Frets”. The Jeff Love Band is the funkalicious brainchild of legendary Central New York musician Neal Massa. Founded in December of 2010 by Massa, the JLB is an outstanding collection of musicians from the Ithaca, NY area. The JLB complements the soulful harmonies of lead vocalists Jeff Love, Ariel Arbisser and Amanda Massa, with the soothing rhythm section of Donald House (bass), De’Marquis Malone (drums), Massa (keyboards) and Jim Wells (percussion). The funky licks of lead guitarist Joe Massa fuse with the crisp horn riffs of Marc Devokaitis (Tenor Saxophone), Bob McMahon (trumpet) and Nick Pauldine (Alto Saxophone) to round out this dynamic family affair. The Jeff Love Band pays homage to the classic funk, soul and jazz of yesterday while imparting its contemporary vision on each mesmerizing offering. This eclectic brand of music brings music lovers of all ages together each time the JLB takes the stage.
